Catch That Pizza! Maze Game Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 12/23/24

Welcome to Catch That Pizza! Maze Game (the “App”). We are committed to protecting the privacy of children under 13 (“children” or “child users”), in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, and other relevant data protection laws.

This Privacy Policy describes how Sundae Electronics LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when children use our App. By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Policy on behalf of the child user. If you do not agree, please do not allow your child to use the App.

1. No Direct Collection of Personal Information

Our App is designed so that children do not submit personal information. Specifically:

  • We do not have any input fields for a child to enter personal data (e.g., name, email address).

  • We do not request or prompt children to provide personal information within the App.

In the event we discover that a child has provided personal information in some unintended way, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe your child may have submitted personal information to us, please contact us (see Contact Us section below).

1.1 Help & Email Communication

Our App includes a “Help” button that opens the device’s default email client and pre-fills it with our support email address (support@sundaelectronics.com). The email body may also include generic device information (such as device model, operating system version) to help us troubleshoot technical issues. The user (or parent) can choose whether to send the email, edit its contents, or discard it.

  • We do not collect any personal information through this help feature unless a user (or parent) voluntarily includes such information in the email body.

  • If you send us an email, we will use your email address only to respond to your inquiry and will not retain or share it for any other purpose.

2. Information Collected Automatically

While we do not collect user-submitted personal data, our App may gather certain non-personal or device-level information automatically. This may include:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers (IDFA/GAID where applicable), IP address.

  • Usage Data: Basic usage metrics (e.g., which levels the child played, session lengths) to help us improve the App.

  • Crash Logs & Diagnostics: Data to identify and fix technical issues or errors.

Non-Personalized Ads

We use Unity Ads strictly in a non-personalized (contextual) mode for child users under 13. This means:

  • Unity Ads does not serve interest-based, targeted ads to children.

  • Unity may still collect certain device data (e.g., IP address, device identifiers) for delivering ads, capping ad frequency, fraud detection, and aggregate reporting.

Please see Unity’s Privacy Policy to learn more about how Unity handles this data.

3. In-App Purchasing (Unity IAP)

Our App may allow the purchase of virtual goods using Unity In-App Purchasing (IAP). Specifically:

  • Unity IAP handles and verifies purchase transactions (e.g., product ID, purchase amount, receipts).

  • Actual payment processing is done by the app store (e.g., Apple or Google), so we do not collect or store credit card numbers or other sensitive billing information.

  • For more information, see Unity’s Privacy Policy.

4. Children’s Privacy and COPPA Compliance

  1. No Personal Data Collection: As noted, our App is designed not to collect personal information from children.

  2. Non-Personalized Ads: We configure Unity Ads to serve only contextual ads to children under 13.

  3. Parental Rights: If you have questions or believe we may inadvertently have collected personal information from your child, please contact us immediately at [Your Email Address]. We will promptly investigate and delete any personal data in accordance with applicable law.

5. How We Use Automatically Collected Data

We may use automatically collected, non-personal data to:

  • Operate and improve the App (e.g., measure performance, track errors).

  • Serve non-personalized ads to support our App financially.

  • Process in-app purchases (via Unity IAP) and ensure transactions are fulfilled correctly.

  • Comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

We do not use device data to create user profiles or track children across apps or websites.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent user data to third parties. We may share limited data in these cases:

  • Service Providers: With service providers like Unity who process data on our behalf (for ads, in-app purchasing). These providers must comply with privacy and security obligations consistent with this Policy and COPPA.

  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or in response to a valid request from public authorities.

7. Data Security

We and our partners use commercially reasonable measures, including HTTPS/TLS encryption, to protect information in transit. However, no transmission or storage system is 100% secure. We encourage parents to contact us with any concerns regarding data security.

8. International Transfers

Depending on your location, data may be transferred to, and stored on, servers located outside your country. By using our App, you agree to such data transfers in accordance with this Policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last Updated” date at the top will be revised. If changes affect how we treat children’s data, we will notify parents or guardians in a manner consistent with applicable law. Continued use of the App after any changes indicates acceptance of the updated Policy.
